"Sounds good." She nodded before turning to leave, "You don't mind keeping watch, right Ivan?"

Christie tried the window, quickly kicking in some of the wood as quietly as she could, then deciding upon something else. She silently climbed onto the bedside table and reached for the vent. She pulled out her swiss army knife and used the knife to undo the screws. She lowered the vent and placed the hatch on the bed.
She held onto the side of the vent and pulled herself up. It was claustrophobic and dusty but she could handle it.

"He'll be fine. Unless he needs us for help," Adries joked, heading back down to the den to relax. She picked up her drink and took another sip. "Well, we have weapons now, and we have a plan. I really don't think anything could go wrong."

She dragged her lower half into the vent and started to crawl through, There was a block to the left so she carried on right. She carried on a few feet, covering her mouth and nose with one hand to stop herself from sneezing. Christie stopped when she realized she was above another room that was opposite the guest room. Someone was in there, she stopped trying to focus through the bars to see better.

Lisa went back to the seat that Christie had stolen from her and picked up the sketch book she had rifled through. She scowled when she saw that. But checked the back to make sure her mother's note was still there. She was relieved to find it still there.
"The sooner we can get her out of here, the better though."

"Sounds good. Only a few more hours until morning," Adries replied, getting relaxed in the rocking chair. She jumped when the lights went out, "Holy shit! Fucking storm! Crap. Do you know how to fix stuff like this? Other than with candles?" She quickly went over to a drawer and found some candles to light. "Of course this happens now," she said angrily.

"Where are my stupid glasses?" Alan muttered, looking around the bathroom for them. He was just about to grab them when the lights had gone off, and now was trying to find them. "Stupid lights, stupid glasses. Stupid towel not staying on," he said bitterly, fixing his towel as he checked the floor for the glasses.

Ivan opened the door, carrying a tray of food. "Hey, Christie, food's here-" He turned around, not seeing Christie. He saw the open vent and the grill on the ground and put two and two together. He fired a warning shot into the vent. "Get out of there Christie. Or I'll bring you out, and that's not gonna be pretty." He yelled down the hall. "Adries! Lisa! Christie is in the vents!"

Hearing the threat, she didn't respond to the gunshot either.
Now or never
Christie unscrewed the vent and slid it to the side. She dangled her legs down, getting them on the basin and standing. She pulled the swiss army knife, took her trusted lighter and held the knife against Alan's back.
"Hi there. Keep quiet." She whispered.

Lisa jumped when she heard Ivan's exclamations.
"Well problem 1 can be solved with candles and the fusebox, Problem 2 can be solved by going upstairs and helping Ivan. Which do you want to deal with?"

Alan froze completely when he heard her voice and felt the knife on his back. "Shit," he said, his voice shaky with fear. He couldn't see, he was basically naked, and this crazy chick had a knife to him. 'Today is not my day,' he thought to himself, his breathing becoming hard.

"Fuck. I'll go to the fuse box and you go deal with your sister. I've seen what you're supposed to do with the fuses and crap. I'll figure it out," Adries said angrily, handing Lisa a candle and heading into the cellar. She looked around for the fuse box and opened it, 'Now to flip switches.'

He started to look though every room, waiting for Christie to come out. he came to the bathroom and it was locked. "Hey, Alan, you alright in there?" he yelled.

Christie hastily and quietly moved the towel rail to block the door. She couldn't help but be amused by the tone in his voice.
"Alright. Get changed. You're coming with me. Now." She ordered quietly, the knife still held close to him, her eyes darting between him and the door.
"Answer him. Tell him that you're fine. Or you bleed."

Lisa nodded, taking the candle and running upstairs, passing Ivan and trying doors. She then stood beside him outside the bathroom door.
"Hey. I can fit through the vent easily, should i go and look for her?"

Ivan was unconvinced. He dropped to the ground and looked underneath the door crack. He saw one pair of bare feet, which he presumed to be Alan's, but then he saw one pair of heavy boots. He shook his head and whispered to Lisa. "Christie's in there. Keep talking, keep them in there. Trust me." He quietly ran downstairs and around the house. he started to climb as silently as possible to the bathroom window.

"I'm cool man! Is something bad happening?" Alan replied back as he quickly put on some clothes. "This is embarrassing," he muttered putting on his pants, "Can I have my glasses?"

Adries started to flip random switches, cursing when nothing happened. 'What the hell are all these for? They have writing on the switches, but it's been so long I can't see what they say,' she thought, turning everything off then on again. "FUCK! Just work!"

"Yeah Alan, Something real bad, Anyway, are you alright without the power? Adries is trying to fix it now." Lisa asked, following what he had told her to do. Listening to the response and throwing another question.
Hurry Ivan...

"Would you prefer that I was my sister?" She taunted quietly before passing the glasses to him. "Now, we're going out the window, You try to run and i'll chase you down. You have bad legs, i have training in long distance running. I think we'll know who will win."
Where'd that other guy go? There's something up.

"I wouldn't mind it since she is the better looking sister," he replied back to her before telling Lisa that he was fine. "Just kinda hard to see, glasses are still a bit foggy," he said as he was led to the bathroom window. "Jesus it's cold," he said as she opened the window.

"Hmmm, maybe I should turn off that switch then flip them all on," she thought out loud, turning off the main switch and turning it back on, getting the lights on.
"HUZZAH!"

As Christie walked towards the window, Ivan hovered just below, tensing his muscles, getting ready to spring. Just as she opened the window, he flipped himself through, feet first, putting all his weight behind the steel plated heavy boots. He made contact with Christie's chest with an almighty thud. Christie had luckily placed the knife on the windowsill while she tried to open it. When he picked himself up, he saw that Christie was unconsious and Alan was fine, a little scared but none the worse for wear. He opened the door to let Lisa in.

Her eyes flicked open, throwing a heavy kick at his groin, grabbing his arm and placing him in a position similar to what she'd been in earlier.
"Payback is a complete bitch huh?" She growled, placing her boot to his neck. She reached for her knife, gesturing to Lisa then to Alan with it.
"You, back the fuck off. and as for you, plans have not changed."
She kept a boot firmly on his neck with one arm restraining him, while the other grabbed Alan's wrist. In one quick move, she jumped off Ivan, knocked Lisa aside and dragged Alan with her out of the room.

Thrown back by the shove, she shook her head as she contemplated what to do. If she ran after her, she'd probably stab Alan, taking her chances she got to her feet and chased after her.

Adries smiled at her work and headed back upstairs, calling cheerfully, "I figured out the fuse boxes!" She was immediately pushed aside by Christie and Alan, with the latter saying, "Sorry sis. Never meant for this to happen."

"Whoah? What the fuck! Alan I swear this is going to become your thing," she said, going to get her pistol but stopping when Christie had the knife to Alan.

Ivan growled. "Yeah, payback is a complete bitch... especially when it concerns a pistol." He fired three shots in quick sucession. one hit Christie's hand, forcing her to drop the knife, and the others sank into Christie's legs, causing her to fall to the ground. Ivan jumped down and walked up to Christie. He threw the knife deep into the woods, and grabbed her and threw he with both hands in the opposite direction. "Dear God, I'm so glad I decided to wear a cup today." He raised his eyes towards heaven for a second in thanks, then turned his attention and his pistol back to Christie.

A moment of silence passed before Christie let out yet another bout of hysterical laughter.
"Is that all?" She asked through the laughter. She didn't move from her knees, raising her top half of her body. "I do not fear death. Shoot me again. You'll see why I don't, right about..."
The echoing gunshot was heard from over the trees. Her laughter stopped and she savored the sound of the echo.
"...Now."

Lisa took Adries by the shoulder and moved her back slightly after hearing the gunshot.
"Get down!"

In one swoop she was back on her feet, staggering slightly, giving Ivan a kick to the chest and grabbing Alan who was trying to limp away.
"Focus on him! Don't let him rest!" She called to unknown assailants who continued to fire, ricocheting off of the trees around where she had stood.

Adries freaked out, wondering what the hell was happening as she saw Christie get up and take Alan outside.
"Shit! She can escape! The cars are outside!" Adries yelled, hiding behind the couch as the bullets ripped up the house. The shots continued to fire until a scream was heard outside, the bullets stopped as the people firing made their escape.

Alan followed Christie's orders as she led him outside. "I fucking hate you," he said, looking around the area trying to see if there was any way to escape.

"Oh really? I've become quite fond of you." Christie replied with sarcasm before handing him over to one of the men who was running with her.
"Put him in the back. Back to base." She grabbed the pistol in one of the men's hands, stopping for a few seconds and fired several shots towards the vehicles outside, puncturing tires then running to the Van.
She got into the back with Alan, soon the rest got in, including a bleeding soldier and some familiar faces.
"Move now." She ordered as Ivan fired after them.
The driver did so, driving off from the carnage.

Ivan took out a different gun and fired two more shots, one hitting Christie and one hitting Alan. Both were tracers. neither could have even been felt by a bug. Ivan then took out the scar and laid down suppresive fire on the assailants as he chased Christie, catching up with every second. He saw them get into the car. He slid to get under the fence and shot all four tires. He used his momentum and got up, still running, protecting his head and chest. He got in his truck, which had been spared being shot since he had left it in the neighbor's driveway and drove chase, using the tracer just as much his eyes.

"I can't believe we lost a man," Conroy said with anger, taking a looking at the bleeding soldier. "God, they must have a fucking sniper in there if they were able to hit us at night, in a storm!"

"You alright ma'am?" Jacobs asked, sitting next to Alan and her. "So, who is this? Obviously important if you went through all that trouble."
"That's a Bixler Jacobs," said the driver, looking back at them, "You can tell on account'a they all look alike."
"Realy?"
"Yes, thay all hav'a black hair, hazel to green eyes," he replied back.

Christie showed Jacobs her hand but smiled.
"I've had a hell of a night private. Thanks for asking." She lit herself another cigarette ignoring the hand. She made a gesture to Alan who was scowling.
"Alan Bixler, Mouse boy, or Jesse Custer. Take your pick."

"Howdy," the driver responded, also taking out a cigarette and lighting it, "I know one thing Mista' Bixler; you're going to be very, very well liked at the base." Conroy chuckled at that. Jacobs frowned at it, before turning to Christie and Alan, "Jesse Custer eh? I love the Preacher comics! Cassidy was always my favorite though, or the Saint of Killers."

"Er, my sister was more of the comics fan. I just needed a name to trick her," Alan said, rolling his eyes to point at her, "Which wasn't too hard I might add."

"Believe it or not, I didn't spend any point in my life with my nose in a comic book, I remember that Lisa had a few, no doubt she was probably in on it," She scorned, "You are of course aware that your charade only lasted a few hours because of your incapability to keep up a lie."
She took the first aid kit that one of the men had reached over to give her, she continued while she started to bandage her still bleeding hand.

"First of all you dropped the alias' at least twice when we were being attacked, that ended my suspicions but not to mention all the whispering and the amount of time you spent upstairs was more than suspicious. It makes more sense now, now that i know that Daddy was there... To sum it up I think i've been incredibly civil considering how you, that backstabber and your sister tried to pull a fast one."

Jack had decided on where he was going, so now all he had to do was prepare. He found the men's locker room in the building and found a policemen's outfit with Kevlar that would fit him. After changing into the clothes he saw that this person was a lieutenant and he thought of how he might use that later. He checked the underground garage to find it still full of vehicles with the keys all where they were supposed to be. The vehicles ranged from cruisers to hummers and even a few swat vans were down there. The garage was three floors deep with vehicles with extra space underneath those floors for impounds. It was five floors in total and Jack knew there would be an armory with weapons inside of it, and he was glad that the area had already been cleared for the most part. He had a new base and he was sure it would serve him well.

With vehicles, food, water, and clothes out of the way, he just needed to know the proper time to leave he figured he would give himself a few hours and then head out. He took a shower and had some food before leaving in the cafeteria. He went back to the underground garage found the keys to a police cruiser and drove out of the garage. He knew he was going to head back to the nearest base which was back in the forest he had just left. Jack silently hoped it was abandoned as he turned on the scanner and the CB radio to hopefully hear any orders that went out. He scanned through both of them before he started to hear military orders and troop movements over it. The situation was as good as it was going to get for him.

"I'm not sure if you're trying to piss me off and make me do something stupid or if you're just that much of a bitch," Alan replied to Christie, his temper starting rise. Conroy and the driver had a little laugh at the conversation going on in the back.
"Oh, before I forget. This here is Corporal Dewey," Conroy said, introducing the driver.
"Howdy," he called to the back, giving a quick wave.

"So, I guess some crazy things have been going on," Albert said as he walked down the stairs into the den, a rifle in hand. "Killed one of those buggers that was shooting from outside. I shot another, and he's probably dying as we speak. What the hell has been going on? Can't a man take a nap without any hiccups?"

"Shall we say a little from column A, and a little from column B? God forbid, I accidently piss you off." She replied to Alan callously. Before turning to face the front of the van and giving a slight nod towards the Corporal.
"Lieutenant Colonel Bailey. You gentlemen have my thanks."

Lisa's heart was racing from the attack still.
"It's our own bad luck that brought them here. Someone tracked us down, Someone in the Military. She'd been a problem before. We locked her in a guest room, she got out through the ventilation and took Alan..." She explained, not having the heart to say that her sister had been behind it all.

"She took Alan? Didn't you guys say he was just kidnapped earlier today... er yesterday?" Albert asked, getting a nod from Adries, "Huh, I wonder if this will become a common occurrence..."
"Maybe. Hey, wait! Alan has a tracker too, right?" Adries asked. Albert smiled and brought out the GPS, taking a look at it, "Seems to be heading west pretty quickly."
"Well, let's go follow!" Adries said quickly, heading outside. She walked back and muttered something about the car's tires being flat.

"Yeah I think it's a bit of both," Alan muttered, growing silent. He was starting to get anxious, wondering now what was going to happen to him.
"So, it'll be at least an hour and a half until we get to the base," Conroy said after Jacobs asked how long it would take.
"Really? It didn't seem like it was that long of a drive," Jacobs replied.
"But we weren't at the base when we got the SOS, we had just barely gone half-way there."
"Oh."

Christie gave a solemn nod. "Sorry about that. I wasn't given the reception i was expecting when i turned up. The person i was looking for wasn't even there. But i did find a few people that I wasn't expecting but it was good to see again." She smirked, taking a deep puff of the cigarette and looking out of the window.

Lisa folded her arms, considering how else they were going to follow him.
Even in the range of fire, she manages to damn us...
"What about the ATV's? Those are in the garage. Did she get those?" She asked, starting to pace.

"I would assume not, but driving those in the rain would probably not be the best idea," Adries started, looking at the ground and trying to think of something.
"The tracker will keep an eye on him, but I think it'd be dangerous to go on the ATVs too. If we wanted to go and follow immediately we'd have to go to the town a mile away and grab one of their cars," Albert said.

"Well we best thank you for giving us this guy," Conroy said, pointing his thumb at Alan, "We finally have a living one! Kaufman will be so fucking pleased. I know he'll welcome you with open arms since you got him."
"We'll get a little credit for helping right?" Jacobs asked, his eyes lighting up at the thought of being acknowledged.
"Probably Jacobs."

"Considering what you boys just did for me, I'll ensure that you all get some credit." Christie added with what seemed to be sincerity, turning to face the different members as she spoke.

Lisa shook her head.
"Sorry, that was really stupid. I guess I'm not thinking straight yet. So, up for stealing some cars and tracking down some military?" She asked.
Never thought I'd say that.

"I don't think I've ever been more prepared. Let me go and get some more weapons and we'll head out!" Albert said enthusiastically.
"We'll have to be kinda sneaky when we get over there. If this is a military thing, it'll be hard to get out of there...hell it'll be hard to get in their!" Adries said as Albert came back with a big satchel.
"Let's go."

"Thanks," Jacobs said. They continued driving for another hour, day finally breaking when they reached the military base. There was a surprising number of people bustling about ("Guess we've gotten a few more members," Conroy said), all wearing uniforms and doing their daily jobs. They pulled up to the gate, driving through when they had the okay.
"This is it. I guess we'll go to...is it Major Briggs? The guy that runs the prisoner area and hand off the Bixler," Conroy said, directing Dewey around the base.
"Oh yay, I don't even have a first name anymore," Alan said bitterly, looking outside the windows.

Ivan spoke. "Hey, guys, my truck is still intact. i left it in the neighbor's driveway, so it didn't get slashed. also, Mr. Albert, I have plenty of weapons in my truck. My parents run the gun store, you see."

Lisa took a few supplies and stored them in her bag. She had the Sawed-off in one hand and the bag on her shoulder when she met the others in the hallway. She stepped on something that clattered under her step. Lifting her leg, it seemed to be Christie's Bowie knife, glimmering with scarlet from someone or something she'd attacked before arriving there. She picked it up and studied it while she waited for the rest of the group to decide what they wanted to do.

Smirking at Alan, She muttered something while she proudly stared at the activities outside.
"Don't worry, you'll always be Mouse Boy to me."
She saw a few military personnel moving some weapons then remembered her own situation.
"Oh yeah, Anywhere i can get myself some firearms? I find myself with only a stun gun with half it's juice now."
