"Yay!" Adries said, raising her hands in the air as Lisa and Christie switched sides. "Can't wait to get some food. And to just sit back and relax after a long day."

"I can't wait to go back on my computer," Alan said before adding, "And to get treated by the lovely Lisa of course."
"Oh god...no more flirting with anyone! It is banned! Banned!"
"Hint of jealousy?"
"Fuck you."

"Sorry Adries, but you don't have that kind of authority. You should be glad anyone has the ability to flirt at a time like this anyway." Jack joked.

Ivan laughed. "Well, as long as were on this subject, how about going on a date with me Hayley? maybe we'll get lucky and find the one inch of land that isn't zombie infested!" He joked.

Lisa chuckled, happy to have a moment where things were calm and friendly. It was the first good feeling she had felt since the Police station.

Christie snickered just a little too at the idea of conversation, she kept her head leant against the window, the adrenaline was starting to die and she was starting to feel slightly tired again.

"Oh hey, do we have anything that we can cook up? From the kitchens?" Lisa asked, suddenly remembering something she had meant to ask a while ago.

"I'm sure we do, we still have boxes of uneaten food from the store if I remember correctly." Jack said.

"The freezer was well stocked with delicious cafeteria food," Adries replied to Lisa, trying to remember if any had been taken by the deserters.

"The food there is okay. Only the ice cream is good," Alan said from the back, sitting up, "Isn't there a cooking class there? You can probably make something good with the supplies. Better than freezer food."

"Well, Anyone up for cooking duty? So we can have a meal to celebrate...I don't know, Surviving all of that?" Lisa suggested, half-joking, turning onto a familiar road.
Her sister nodded at the idea beside her, lighting up yet another cigarette to keep herself awake, leaning out of the window.

"Yeah, unless you guys like Spartan food, you ain't letting me cook. I could probably find a way to screw up cold cereal." Ivan laughed, glad to be rid of the Incinerator. He didn't like the teleporting zombie. He hoped he wouldn't have to face another one of those. They were damn annoying.

"I know how to cook. Better than most of you...no offense," Alan told them, "Better than Adries, I know that."

"I can cook really basic things. Pancakes, and cookies. A cake. I can follow instructions well enough," Adries replied, trying her best to out do Alan in cooking ability.

"Give me a cookbook and I can make you whatever you want. Living alone you have two choices, cook your own food or take out every night. I got tired of takeout fairly quick so I taught myself to cook." Jack said.

"I think you'd be the best person to consult," She said to Jack, "There probably won't be a cookbook but there must be something simple at the school to cook." Lisa considered getting near the school.
"I could probably make some fresh soup. Or Olivier Salad. Nothing that fancy, but they would have the ingredients." She spoke, watching the scenery outside and the few zombies still shambling around.

"How could you grow tired of take-out Jack?" Adries replied, shaking her head, "I mean, I could never. It's just so tasty."

"I say we see check to see what supplies we have then decide dinner," Alan told them as they drove along.

"Well after the third time of spending my evening puking my guts out because of bad takeout from places that I had trusted up until then, I figured it would be safer for my own health to cook for myself. I can make fairly simple breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. If you need me to I can make pasta or steak and potatoes with the proper cooking implements." Jack said before adding,

"I know we don't have salmon, lemon juice, shrimp, and scallops or I could make a simple pasta dish that you would all absolutely love."

"Actually Steak would be good if we have it. Or pasta. Then again i'd probably kill for anything to eat right about now." Lisa replied driving up to the main entrance to the car park.

"You are going to have to feed anyone else that's waiting here too though, so i'd check supplies beforehand. That's if there is that many." Christie warned, getting vague memories of being at the school before.

"I'm sure I can find enough of something to feed us all. It probably won't be anything complicated, but anything that resembles a hot meal would probably be welcome about now." Jack said before getting out once the vehicle had stopped.

"Amen to that." Lisa said finally before parking.
"Alright, i think food, relaxation and medical treatment are probably one of the top three things on everyone's agenda. Finally we're here."

"Okay, well now we have a plan when we get over back to the school," Adries said contently, glad when things are planned out.

"Atleast we'll have something to do. You guys have fun with that," Alan said with a laugh.

Christie got out as soon as the car stopped, She moved her rifle slightly as it dug into her back uncomfortably. A twang of pain hit her from scorch marked leg but she ignored it the best she could. She looked up at the school with slight surprise about how secure it was.
"How many other civilians are inside?" She asked with mild curiosity.

"Many." Ivan saw the slight limp. "Christie. let me look at your leg. Now." He grabbed a first aid kit from his car and walked over to her.

"Come on brother, let's get you to the chem room," Adries said as she helped her brother out and started walking him to the school entrance. She was quite surprised when she saw some of the students that left back in the school, but they ignored each other...things still being awkward between them all.

Adries sat Alan down on one of the makeshift beds. "Thanks sis, but you could have put me over by my computers..."
"No computer until your patched up completely."

((I am going to use the all powerful movie time skip so I don't have to describe every step in making pasta if that's okay with everyone))

Jack found the ingredients for and made spaghetti and meatballs, when he was done he left the pot on low heat to keep it warm and set out collecting everyone for a meal.

Christie raised an eyebrow to Ivan but leant against the bonnet of the car and showed the wound.
"It's nothing. You needn't worry. I've had worse."

Lisa followed Adries and Alan, she brought the box of supplies she'd picked up from the First Aid room. She unpacked what she needed, placing them on the table. She then went over to wash her hands before doing anything.
"Now, I'm not sure how long this'll take, but things will hopefully be less tender when I'm done." She spoke with some reassurance, scrubbing her hands with anti-bacterial soap. While she was there she look a container of hot water to wash the blood away.

Ivan laughed. "Uh, no you haven't. not unless your other leg was burned off. this is a 3rd degree burn, you idiot." He poured cold water over it, then put antiseptic on and bandaged it all up.

"Yay. And then we can eat afterwards right Al?" Adries asked her brother as he dragged himself to his computer. "Ummm...maybe not," she added, watching him turn everything on and rapidly typing, though having some difficulties due to his lack of all ten digits.

"Damn, I'll have to re-learn how to type now," Alan muttered, reading up some of the updates from other people and reporting himself alive.

((Might not type too much today; friends coming over.))

She winced slightly at the water and antiseptic, gritting her teeth and turning her head away.
"An idiot? For being able to cope?" Christie smirked.

"Well...at least you didn't lose your whole hand, right? Maybe in some time you can find a way to fix them all together," She attempted to answer, before gesturing to where she had the equipment set up, "Come on, sit down."

"No. An idiot for trying to hide the pain when this could have easily killed you. That's not coping, that's being proud. And as the saying goes, 'the pride goeth before the fall.'

"Two seconds," Alan replied, reading something before enlisting Adries to help him over there. He took a seat, "So. Do I take the painkillers now or once it's all over?"

"Will I have to hold him down or anything?" Adries asked, not sure how she could really help with this. 'No medical knowledge...I should have asked Aunt Janice for basic medical treatments when I had the chance,' she thought.

"Hm, wise words. I think my pride derives from the fact that I have worse things to worry about. Thank you by the way." She said getting off from the bonnet, moving her leg slightly to test it.

"Once it's over, the painkillers I've got for you are really strong and it's not wise to have you losing focus right now," Lisa answered, grabbing some medical scissors to cut the bandages she'd hastily put on his hand earlier, "That's alright Adries, It's going to hurt, of course, but i don't think he'll need to be restrained."

"What if he goes all Hulk on us though?" Adries asked with a grin, taking a seat on the nearest desk.

"Hulk only goes all Hulk when he is angry," Alan replied back.
"You're such a nerd. Weren't you angry at your inability to type as well?"
"Well, I just kinda miss my fingers."
"Those were the two most useless fingers that you lost! Don't be so sad."
"Hey, that ring finger was to hit the 'p' and the backspace button rapidly."
"The pinky?"
"Aesthetic reasons."

"I think that's understandable." Lisa laughed a little, grabbing a clean cloth and putting it into the hot water before wiping away the dried blood on his hand.
"I'm surprised about how well the bandages held up actually. I was worried that they wouldn't hold up long after i applied them earlier." She muttered before grabbing the anti-bacterial and sterilizing cream.

"I didn't really do much to mess with them. I can only assume that that was a reason why they're okay," Alan told her before adding, "Or it was due to your amazing healing skills."

"Argh, you keep this up and I might just leave. Go hang out in the library or something," Adries said with a groan, laughing after a few moments.

"I think it's more of option one. My Dad was the one who could heal you up with a blink. But thank you for the compliment." Lisa replied before applying the medicinal cream to his hand. His hand twitched a little with pain and she frowned.
"Sorry." She apologized for making it hurt, grabbing the bandages and starting to re-wrap.

"It's alright. I am expecting the pain," Alan replied back to her, holding onto the edge of his seat.

"Eww...if this is going to be graphic I might just leave. I've seen zombies and people getting dismembered but watching my brother get cared for is just too much," Adries said with a grimace.

"I'm not sure what to expect myself, but I don't think the legs are going to look so mild. Just a warning." Lisa replied turning to Adries, as she finished up the hand, securing it with a safety pin.
"Is that easy to move?" She asked ringing out the cloth to clean the next bite and getting the scissors to remove the bandage.

"A bit stiff, but I can work with it," Alan replied, flexing his hand for a few moments. "Alright, time to work on the legs," he said grimly, lying down.

"Err...brother unless you really need me here for comfort and support I'll just leave," Adries told him, getting a shrug as a reply.
