Lisa nodded, taking a deep breath and running as fast as she could to the broadcasting tower after Adries and Alan. She looked behind at the incinerator trying to attack Jack and felt bad, but he knew what he was doing.
"Adries, can you hot wire a car for Jack?" She asked catching up with them inside the building.

Christie still held the phone to her ear, she watched Lisa dart into the building where Adries and Alan had.
Cowards.
"Location?"
"We're almost at the broadcasting tower. Approximately 2 minutes."

Jack popped out from behind cover and fired a burst from his ak-47. He ran to a stone pillar and stayed behind it.

'Adries please don't argue this time.' he thought.

The Incinerator inched towards Jack, toying with his mind.

"Even with my decreased intelligence, it's really obvious that you're making yourself a decoy to let the others get away. And for what? What if you fail? If you haven't figured it out by now, my speed and strength has increased. Even if you were to get to a car, i could easily rip you out of it before you could even get to the next block."

"What are you trying to say?" Jack asked.

"Isn't it obvious? What I'm trying to say is: Give Up."

Give Up. Those two little words rang in Jack's head. A by the looks of it, he was beginning to agree with the monster.

Jack couldn't help but consider it, but the beast was wrong about what he wanted the car for. He was probably wrong about giving up as well.

"I almost believed you for a second, but then you mentioned the car. I don't want it to escape, but instead to keep a promise to a friend of mine. You are foolish if you would believe for a second I would abandon them without good reason. I'm sorry, but you aren't good enough reason. You have a lot to learn about myself and my group." Jack said as he continued moving from cover to cover.

Adries stared at Lisa for a second with a confused look on her face. "Really? Now? Now he wants me to fucking hotwire a car!? Really? Holy shit that's retarded. Tell him no. I don't want to do it now," Adries replied, crossing her arms, "If he wants an excuse say it's because, oh I don't know, a giant fucking flaming monster could kill us all!"

"Adries, do you want me to break your fingers? That'll be another good excuse," Alan asked, watching the action from his seated position in the station.
"What? No. Just. Argh, tell him no Lisa," Adries told her.

"Please Adries? Jack really needs it. I know it's unorthodox, but he's not heading back with us. He intends to keep his word." Lisa said with a pleading look in her eyes.

"Finally!" Christie muttered to the approaching helicopters. At first they had looked like dots in the horizon, now huge and hovering above the creature.
"Awaiting orders on when to deploy."

"You know what Alan maybe you should just break my fingers," Adries said, getting into a pissy mood. "Tell him that I might just get him a car when we get back to the school. Not before that though."

"Hey, the helicopters are here. Get to the choppa'!" Alan said, "We might just be okay after all."

"Fine with me. Let's just get out of here, then we can all get what we want at the school." She spoke moving her hair out of her eyes with a sigh. She moved from the doorframe and yelled her answer to Jack, not anticipating his response. She waited behind while Adries gave Alan some support, ready to move out when the helicopters had finished off the incinerator.

"Order is to concentrate fire until my command. Helicopter Delta move north and fire, Helicopter Echo move south and fire. Go!" Christie spoke into the phone.
A few seconds passed and they did as she said. Each moving in their separate ways and the turrets starting to unload on the incinerator. It looked up, angry at the sight of helicopters again.

"Up you go," Adries said, helping Alan up and moving him to the entrance of the station. They watched as the Incinerator started to throw fire balls at the helicopters.

"I say he's a little jarate'd off," Alan said with a chuckle.
"You make way too many jokes when injured," Adries told him.

"Oh, c'mon Christie just release it." Lisa muttered watching the scene, with a worried look on her face.
We can't afford for this to mess up, better to get this over with, just give the order!

"Do not retreat! Continue fire and aversion! His intelligence diminishes with anger and you are really enraging him! Keep holding it." She continued into the phone when she heard the shocked cries from the pilots on the other end. The flying had become erratic from the fireballs but remained controlled.

"What's she doing? I think he's pretty angry enough," Adries said, watching the scene unfold. "I mean, something bad is going to happen if she doesn't do something."

"No Adries! You just cursed us all! Damn you!" Alan yelled to her, trying to fall to his knees to dramatize it, but standing back up once he realized how painful that was, "That didn't work as planned."
"Alan why do you do this to yourself?"
"The pleasure of others."

Lisa chuckled a little but kept her eyes fixated on the incinerator and Christie who was barking orders into her phone at the end of the street.
"Well, I think we'd prefer if you sacrificed your comedy in favor for staying out of pain at the minute. I don't want to have to do more work when we get back to the school."

"Alright, Echo back up more and you solely concentrate fire. This should draw attention away from Delta. Delta in one swoop release the chemicals when it's firing at Echo. On my command, Ready." She ordered, watching the orders act out. Her plan was working and this time she'd end this.

"Alright then Lisa, for you I shall stop being so over-dramatic," Alan said as he watched one of the helicopters start to distract the Incinerator from the other.

"Oh please don't tell me you guys are going to start flirting like Jack and Christie," Adries said, rolling her eyes. Alan just laughed.

She gave a smile with a small laugh and thanked him but found herself still fixated on the helicopters. In one swoop, the second helicopter had released the chemicals on the incinerator, it let out a infuriated scream.
"Finally." Lisa said with a sigh.

"Excellent! Now reverse roles. We're not done yet." Christie warned watching the creature roar and try to speed away, it was weakening only to stumble over itself and fall to the ground. Then slamming it's fists in the ground.

"Let's just hope it doesn't transform again," Alan said to them, remembering what had happened the last time.
"Ah, I completely forgot about that. Hope that they can quickly do it again before it's given the chance," Adries said, helping Alan sit down.

"Is that all you got?! I'll take you all on!

The Incinerator was weakening, but that didn't stop him from attacking. His fire may have been gone, but he still possessed his speed and strength. He darted towards a building, running straight up it instead of through it. Once he gets at an arc, he launches himself onto a helicopter...again.

"Echo! He's distracted! Take the shot! NOW!" Christie yelled into her phone

"Geez, you don't have to yell so loud." The pilot responded, rubbing his ears.

"God, i hope so." Lisa spoke putting a hand to her head. It had started pounding again, but she ignored it. She'd deal with it later. The Incinerator had risen to it's legs, shooting a fireball towards the now empty helicopter, missing and hitting the ground outside the broadcast tower, making her jump back. It launched onto the building and out of her sight.

"Echo, That's an order!"
The second helicopter swooped like Delta releasing the chemicals onto the creature, plastering the helicopter and the area around it too. It let out another scream. It fell to the ground again. It's body submerged in the chemicals, unable to be seen. Delta struggled and crashed into the broadcast tower.
"Wait, This might not be over yet. I think the difficult part is over but remain here non-the-less until you are dismissed."

Adries jumped when the two helicopters crashed, cursing with her shock. "So, is this the part where we shoot the Incinerator to death?" she asked Lisa, walking closer to the area where the Incinerator was.

"Cause, I still have about eight bullets left," she added, checking out the the submerged body of the monster from a distance, "Wouldn't mind planting them in it's skull...if it has one that is."

"I think so. But give it a moment. If i know Christie she'll-"
She was cut off by the sounds of echoed shots and she put her arm in front of Adries to prevent stepping further into the line of fire.

That son of a bitch killed some good men. I'm giving them the 21 salute.
Christie scowled through the end of her scope, rifle mounted over her arm, armor piercing bullets loaded. She had stepped out of the totaled car now, resting at the front of the bonnet and firing.

"You...can't....kill....ME!"

Positively weak, the Incinerator made a dash towards Christie as a last resort. Christie waited, calmly lining up her shot, Adries looked on, panicking.

"Y'know, you can shoot whenever you to! It's not like he's gonna kill us or anything!" She yelled sarcastically.

"God I wish I had my rifle," Adries said, getting out the Desert Eagle and carefully aiming. She fired as the Incinerator raised it's hand to attack. It flinched and roared in pain, turning around to face Adries.

"Uhh...fire on it!" Adries yelled to Christie, firing at the beast with the last of her bullets.

Ivan took out both knives. one by one, he threw them at the Incinerator. both ended in its eyes. the incinerator screamed, gurgling on blood, clawing at it's eyes. Ivan then took out the pistols and shot its hands. He then opened fire, shooting the thing over and over again. he wouldn't stop 'til that thing was on the ground dead.

It was getting closer, she didn't flinch. A smile hit her lips as the shot became perfect. She pulled the trigger once, then moving it and firing again. The bullets hit it once in the head then another in the chest. It rasped, slowing significantly but still trying to reach her.
"Who said so?" Christie taunted, finding enjoyment from finally killing this thing. She took a few steps forward, firing another two shots in it's chest, making it ground and moan, slowing even more.

"She really is insane." Lisa muttered watching her sister's expression with mild disgust.

"No, I think most people are like that," Alan replied as Adries ran back towards them, "People like pain in others. Especially evil flaming zombie monsters."

"Well, I've done all I can," Adries said as she stood next to Lisa and Alan, watching the ongoing battle.

"I understand that, but that look is just sadistic." Lisa added shaking her head.

She had taken to moving a few steps forward with each step,
16...17...
Another shot rang as she shot it in the head again then in the hand. The smile on her face had yet to leave, her mind focused on finishing this thing. The incinerator was barely crawling now, but it was as fixated on ending her as she was to ending it.

"Wait, so is it dead? Can we go now? I'm hungry," Adries asked, looking at Lisa and Alan for an answer.
"I'm hungry too. And tired. And injured. And in a lot of pain. So going soon would be nice," Alan stated, standing up with his sister's help and walking over to the fire department.

Ivan was annoyed. "Hold your fire!" He barked. everyone, even Christie stopped. He quickly shot it in the tendons, to provent it from fighting back. He then crouched on top of the zombie and started to smash its face in with his plate-covered fist. after two minutes, the thing looked like so much pulp.

"Christie, Ivan, give it a rest!" Lisa yelled at her sister growing annoyed, walking with Alan and Adries.

It was barely breathing anymore, She was now standing over it, it tried to claw at her but the gun was risen and the bullet went in it's head.

Letting out a deep sigh and a small salute, she turned to the rest of the group, slinging her rifle back on her shoulder.
"Alright, Time to go children. Remember when i said you owed me earlier? That's set in stone now."

"Wait what? Something is being owed?" Adries asked, leading her brother over to where everyone was congregated.

"Well at least this thing is dead...or is it!?!" Alan asked, going to poke what was once the Incinerator but deciding against it. "For safety reasons..." he muttered.

"All in good time. Let's just head back now. Your brother is looking worse for wear." Christie spoke heading back to the car and driving it forward to the rest of the group.

"I don't think he'll be coming back anymore...and besides we can't poke it if we don't have a stick." Lisa added to Alan, before getting into the passengers seat.

"I guess you're right. Well, let's try to get back to the school so Alan doesn't die," Adries said, helping Alan in then sitting down behind Lisa.

"It'd be such a shame to lose someone like me," Alan replied.
"Oh yes. Keep telling yourself that."

"So, who's giving me directions? Believe it or not, I haven't been to many of Lisa's open days." Christie asked after everyone was inside the car, then driving back the way she had came in order to cross the bridge.
"Why don't you just let me drive?" Lisa asked her.
"I'm quite comfortable where I am, you can drive later."

"Well, you can just go down Warren Drive then take Rita Street the rest of the way. It's not any of the main ways over there so there shouldn't be much zombies...or fire monsters," Alan told Christie.

"You should just let Lisa drive, she's saved us enough and she's good at it," Adries said, buckling herself in.

Christie raised an eyebrow, then smirking she stopped the car, she got out and walked around.
"Alright. Why not? I mean we aren't in a combat situation anymore, this should be something you can handle."

I'd pay more than a million dollars to leave you on the side of the road right now.
Lisa said nothing, simply moving over into the drivers seat while Christie got into the passengers. She started off again at an OK speed.
"We should be there in roughly 10 minutes. I'm starving."
