Just wondering what is out there free wise until AoC or Warhammer Online Beta becomes available to the non fortunate. Im an MMO addict to pretty much every MMO released since AC1 (mmo's that have monthly fees). Looking for something the pass the beta woes.... Thats free :)

Anarchy Online might be a light weight engagement, worthy if you are planning to commit with Funcom's AoC later =)

Hellgate: London is pretty fun. MMO/FPS hybrid with good character customization and graphics. You do have to buy the game up front, but the online multiplayer is free unless you want to subscribe for expanded storage and the other perks.

well, i love grinding, so im actualy playing 2 free games that are pretty new, 1st is Fiesta,
other is 2Moons.
2moons is pure grind,but better graphics then your average free game, and fiesta looks like a childrens anime er something, but has a fun item enhancing,potion crafting system, and huge population.
only other fun free games i can think of would be rappelz.....now that i think about it, isent archlord free now? i dident give that game much of a chance when it was p2p

ive recently been on my own personal mmo hunt, after 2 years of l2, then almost 2 years of WOW, with some coh mixed in there, i recently got bored and tried eq2, got to lvl 50, and dropped it like a rock, totaly over it.So now im in the same boat as you are, waiting on the next big wave of blockbuster titels, till then ill be jumping from free game to free game.I think i have tried almost every 3d game and a handful of the top down mmo's on mmorpg.coms game list, and it seems theres a new 1 every week lol
i wish someone would open a ac2 free client, id totaly revisit that game

according to gamestop, the release was pushed up to 06/10/08. I hope it doesnt go back to end of year again.

I don't know what Game Stop is up to, but no announcement from Mythic or EA has been made about ever changing the release from June. The was a mention that it COULD be released third quarter 08, maybe Sept, but that was back in December, so I doubt it's anything big other than some dork screwed up the Game Stop website. Even my local store didn't know about the push back after it came out on the website. When I asked the clerk he said June. If it really scares you that much just watch the press releases on the WAR website, they will have the release change there first, if it gets bumped to third quarter.

I've pretty much quit WoW. Raiding is boring as eff, and the arenas are so crappy that it's not even worth playing unless you're on an OP team. Myself and a bunch of friends from my WoW guild started up DAoC again on Gareth, and we're having way more fun then we've ever had in WoW.

awww, you shoulda rolled on Mok'Natal horde side. I got me 66 priest there, and im working on a mage ATM. Ill considering rolling a toon there as well, just tell me a few things, how long are the AB/AV waits, and who wins more?

Bah, of course once I get 50 in DAoC, pretty much everyone but 4 of us quit, and no one else has as much playtime as I do, and I'm playing a class incapable of doing anything alone.

I'll think about rolling a char on Blackrock as well.

We should all reroll together, a shammy, a warrior, and a rogue would tear crap up while lvling, just some ideas. If I reroll, I'm doing teh shammy.

I don't know what I'd roll, probably a Priest again tbh. Even though I have quite a few tiffs with the game itself, and they haven't buffed the class in gods know how long, I still love the class, I guess that's what happens when you have 60+ days /played as it. :x Plus teh spacegoats are hawt..most definately one of the classes they can be though.

Spacegoats in plate are pretty awesome, gonna most likely roll a shammy, unless I get inspired only other possible classes i'd roll are warrior(again) or lock

Enhancement Shammy will be so insanely OP in 2.4, they're getting like all the buffs they've needed for the past 3 years at once, and then some totally unnecessary stuff, like Flametongue MS..

I just hate how they're making Warriors more and more useless in PvP, MS was their thing, until they gave it to Hunters, and I don't care if there's a cast time, they never seem to have trouble about getting a hundred MS shots off, but giving it to Shamans where it doesn't even require mana/rage to apply and is maintained simply through auto-attacking would've been ridiculous.

They were slightly over powered when you could do the whole Windfury on main weap, and lower rank on offhand to escape hidden cool down. I agree, I'm a warrior at heart, warriors are getting more obsolete, paladins and bears tank multiple mobs so much better, and warriors are best 1v1 tanking (Aka bosses). Though, I just respeced MS after months of fury and prot, so I'll see how pvp goes.

Ah, I was playing mine waaay before 2.0, so I guess I missed that. :x Now that the rest of my week is pretty free, I'll get around to picking and rolling a toon on Blackrock.

Bah, 2.4 didn't like my computer at all, couldn't update, had to repair down to 2.0, gonna check now and see if everything updated correctly. 2.4 is sucking right now, at least they made it easier for fresh 70's to pvp, with the whole new pvp sets that you can get from rep vendors.

I honestly don't think I'll be joining you on Blackrock. An RL Friend I talked into rolling on Ravenholdt just got to 70 a few weeks ago, and I'd feel like a bastard if I ditched her, plus she's good at guilt tripping me which doesn't help. :x I think I'll take this time to mess around in TF2 some more, actually beat some of my PS3 games, while keeping WoW as casual as possible. Definately no more arenas and all that stressful crap. That's not even including how much I don't want to level another character up.

shammys are gods later on as Ele. spec. If I do roll a side toon on blackrock, im gonna do a shammy, since shammy, priest, and mage are the 3 classes i know all too well. In regards to the battle group, that means absolutely nothing. each server has their strengths PvP wise, and if you look at Stormrage for example, alliance are raped every AV match, their battle group has 2-3 servers that actually have people who know what they are doing. Also, since im already doing a mage on Mok'Nathal, and my priest is there, ill probebly do mage. I could always xfer my 43 ally shammy but we'll see.

If you're PMing Trijian, just let her know you know me and that should guarantee you entry. I dinged 60 last night, so i'm happy. Now just a grind to 70 and I can join the rest of the guild raiding Kara and Grulls.

Oh and yes, alliance on our server are horribly outnumbered, this can be a plus however, as you get into BGs within 5 minutes max. Average time to get into one is about 15 seconds.

but for those of u 70's heres a lil tid bit of info i discoved the day after patching.
It seems the blue gem drop rate from minning on netherwing area is up quite a bit, easy money, get on it before the market catches on. I got 6 different blue gems while doing the minning daily quest yesterday, and 4 the day before that, so i think its safe to say my theory is correct. 10k gold now, and nothing left to spend it on =[]
