What is Newland?
Should Clan members completely abandon the Neutral city which wanted more infrastructure independence from the Clan network? I hope we're not that petty to refuse to protect those who are unwilling to fight for their own independence and freedom. Even if they are unwilling to fight the corporate monolith Neutrals are just as deserving as every other human soul of freedom and the right to live in their own homes. Neither is it supportive of the Clan call for democracy on the planet to let the will of the neutral people be overridden by a group of merchants, also known as the "Newland City Council".
Omni-Tek wearies of the bad press of a de facto takeover of a neutral city that had nothing to do with the conflict. Omni-Tek doesn't have a problem pushing over peaceful groups like the Council of Truth or the neutral population of Newland rather than fighting the real terrorists like the dust brigade. So now we're left with the petty tyrants of Tir and Newland harming whoever gets in the way of their little fight. This childish tyrade of powermongers has gone on long enough. Leaders of all factions are upset and mobilizing support to replace the Newland city guards.
Neutral crowds lead peaceful protests against the Newland city council on a regular basis, amidst supporters like myself being attacked and force to hide in the city. Both the Sentinels and Newland City Council are driving Newland to becoming an Omni-Tek city despite claims that both are fighting to stop it.
The people see past your lies an no longer support you. Your economies are weak, and your forces overstretched beyond your means to support them much longer. I encourage both the leaders of the Sentinels and the Newland City Council to reach out to your own supposed "side" and act like you belong to them. The Newland City council must decide if they wish to be a part of the Clan, Omni-Tek or Neutral communities or else live with the consequences of pretending to belong to Omni-Tek without even its official support.
So I encourage all Clan members to demand that the Newland City council answer for all the people of Rubi-Ka: "which side are you really on?"
