A Tragedy Averted?
Yesterday as a friend and Elder from The Pilgrims Clan I attended the Wedding of Fleat and Quickstart. The Venerable Clan leader Henry Radiman agreed to officiate the ceremony and performed a wonderful ceremony in the "natural Hunter" style.
Just as the wedding ceremony was complete Dust Brigade mutants showed up and General Jocelyn warned us of impending danger. Fortunately concealed Clan guards and an experienced wedding party of Rubi-Ka war survivors were able to quickly bring the mutants down. These mutants were obviously special modified and trained just for this suicidal purpose. Wading past all the wedding party and ignoring them on a march directly towards the Groom, Quickstart. A new moral low for the Dust Brigade the likes of which even Omni-Med might find cruel and unusual. What form of terrorism and immoral tampering is the Dust Brigade not willing to sink to?
The Dust Brigaders launched some sort of low level fog attack as well to cover their mutants outdoor attack. While there were no fatalities from the mutants this time, some sort of nanovirus carried by the fog struck down a few wedding party members and has made others dangerously ill. Ewila, Zachribe, and Mikerlia who were friends of Quickstart's were all among the first to fall from this nasty disease. Many others like Aurust became seriously ill and symptoms have been shown by all from myself, to Henry Radiman, and many others. If now this contagious virus is spreading and endangering all the Clan population by some not quite identified transmission from those who were exposed to too much fog.
However the Dust Brigade had the mutant place a holotransmitter, probably for the rescue workers to find had their attack gone as planned. The aptly-named and hasty Quickstart was quick to start this transmitter.
What ensued was a short disalogue from the famous "Lady" of some of the previous Dust Brigade transmissions.
I have here a transcript of the conversation, edited without the battle conversations and noises:
The Lady: To the happy couple.
Fleat: Who are you?
The Lady: I see the fool has managed to persuade you at last, huh, Fleat?
Hitonomi shouts: wheres a Doctor ?
Fleat shouts: GET Doctors over here..people Dying
Quickstart: A hologram
The Lady: How much did he pay you to say yes?
The Lady: Or did he knock you up and now has to do the honourable thing?
Quickstart: Um..fleat darling?
Fleat: Pay Me?
Quickstart: message for us
The Lady: Anyway, pleasentries aside, I unfortunately could not be present at the ceremony or else I'd voiced my objections in person.
Don't worry though...I'm en route to rubi-ka as we speak to hmm...help out my newfound..friends
Quickstart shouts: SHHHH..I'm trying to listen to this message
Ewila: I.... don't feel okay..
The Lady: How did you like my mutants Itel? bit too rough for you?
Hitonomi shouts: Ewila needs a doctor
The Lady: you traiterous dog! I'll deal with you later...
Fleat shouts: Everyone quiet down... something is here speaking
Krytek: I dont want to die, o my God someone help me.
The Lady: Now, to the couple. Of course, I couldn't leave you without a gift... but you already killed it so...
Henry Radiman: how are you Ewila?
The Lady: You might ask what it was.
Henry Radiman: ooh..
The Lady: Well allow me to give you a little hint....
It was a bomb, but not just any mutant bomb...oh no, it's sooo...much...more....
Sallust: all of quickstart's wedding party....
Aurust: My head is splitting
The Lady: I'll keep you in suspense a little longer, but... well, What were Mercutio's dying words again?
Well, I'm sure you'll figure it out...after all, you figured out all my other plans.....or so you thought.
Fleat shouts: Heal the Sick people
Falikos: A curse on both your houses..
The Lady: Hope to see you two soon....just don't die too quickly...I want the pleasure of looking you in the eyes when you do Fleat...
I would like to thank the wandering Omni-Tek personnel in the area who found us and decided appropriately to fight the Dust Brigade menace rather than carry out their war at the time. As well as all the Clans who came to our aid and put aside any political differences.
It appears the time of our unity to confront the agents of Chaos in person is soon at hand. I hope all of us can unite against the horrendous task ahead of the war against the Chaos, Death, and Destruction of the Dust Brigade. Now is the time for Clan and Omni-Tek to unite once again to a threat against the whole planet. Just as we did in the days of the Corporate Wars when SOL Banking Corporation sought to kill off the people of Rubi-Ka and claim the planet. Now we fight not for freedom or mining rites, but for simple survival and an end to the Chaos of Dust Brigade war.
