Getting to know Ymlisai

Sallust

Sallust: So you are Ymlisai of Omni-Tek Medical Academy, and a corporate citizen of Omni-Tek
Ymlisai: That is the name they gave me when they ordered me, yes.
Ymlisai smiles
Sallust: are you a native to Rubi-Ka or an immigrant?
Ymlisai: A little bit of both, I believe. I was born, using the tubes.
Ymlisai: I'm artificial created, to put it that way, hehe
Ymlisai: I was born up at the station, after orders of the Omni-Tek Medical Academy
Sallust: how do you feel about that and not having a natural set of parents?
Ymlisai: I.. don't know.. I've always had a family with those in the Academy. They are my sisters and brothers, my mother is Myrabai, she is the leader of the Academy.
Ymlisai: For me, it is as natural as for someone who grew up with biological parents.
Sallust: so was your profession, education, and early living area also selected by the medical academy?
Ymlisai: I was created for the purpose of aiding those in not so fortunate conditions as I am.
Ymlisai: With that, I mean those who have been injured, in the need for a little funding to get started or just helping them out taking the classes needed to use their newest nano program and the likes.
Sallust: but how much experience during your educational years did you get with non-Omni-Tek citizens or people of your choosing?
Ymlisai: Well, I never touched the ground of Rubi-Ka until I was 21 years old, but my experience with those of Omni, I grew up with. They were my teachers and guides.
Sallust: in a short synopsis how can you summarize the Omnis you grew up with?
Ymlisai: I was completely shielded from what was going on down on the planet, all I ever knew was how to treat those hurt, how to smile, even though if life took the wrong turn.
Sallust: and were they mostly from Omni-Med or did you get to branch out with inter-departmental work?
Ymlisai: I have nothing bad to say about them. How can I? They were my beloved friends for 21 years.
Ymlisai: And it was only Omni-Tek Medical Academy supervisors who I were in contact with.
Sallust: How do you feel about the Rubi-Kan conflict and the notum wars as a doctor and a humanitarian?
Ymlisai: Horrible. So many injured! So many hurt!
Ymlisai sighs
Ymlisai: But I can not stop the forces of the different sides. All I can do, is to stand on the side and help whomever needs it.
Sallust: do you think Omni-Tek should give preferential treatment towards its own injured, rather than, oh say neutral citizens?
Ymlisai: I think everyone should give preferential treatment towards everyone.
Sallust smiles warmly
Sallust: what do you think of the mutant experiments done by other branches of Omni-Med that have created so many mutant menaces on Rubi-Ka?
Ymlisai: Even though I carry the sign of Omni-Tek, it does not mean I do not heal those who are sided neutral or who bear the insignias of the clans.
Ymlisai: I'm not sure... They are created as I were, in tubes.
Sallust: do you believe they have souls, and should they enjoy the same rights and freedoms as you enjoy?
Ymlisai: As you probably know, Notum affects our DNA in various ways. Some were unpredictable when Omni-Tek first started, trying to adapt the human race to be fit living on this planet.
Sallust nods
Ymlisai: Everyone and everything alive have a soul. But when it comes to how they act, how they live, how they die, how they reproduce.. Who am I to say anything about that?
Ymlisai: I'm afraid I do not interact much with the mutant inhabitors of Rubi-Ka.
Sallust: maybe you, but what about Omni-tek or other Rubi-Kan organizations?
Sallust: should Omni-Tek have a say?
Ymlisai: Maybe you should ask yourself that question?
Sallust: I have, but this is not my interview
Sallust smiles
Ymlisai:: Omni-Tek and the clans do take care of the mutants, as far as I know. We provide rations for them to survive, medical treatment and so on.
Sallust: yet they've also both imposed a bounty system on many of the mutants. How do you feel about that?
Ymlisai: I don't know how the neutrals interact with the mutants, but I believe they do the same.
Sallust nods
Ymlisai: There is also bounty systems on many of the Homo Solitus, Homo Nanos, Homo Opifex and Homo Atrox. I don't quite see the difference.
Sallust: has the opening of the Jobe portal into the Shadowlands had a significant impact on your humanitarian work?
Ymlisai: People die, people get killed. For along time now, this is the daily life here on Rubi-Ka.
Ymlisai: With the import of new, improved nano programs, I would have to say yes.
Ymlisai: Most of them makes it easier to help out people
Ymlisai: I'm afraid I haven't been provided with any healing programs of the Academy yet, so I can't answer any questions regarding those
Sallust: have you ventured into the Shadowlands much? and if so what do you think of the conflict going on there?
Ymlisai smiles
Ymlisai: I visited Elysium once, but the Shadowlands is not for me. Everyone I spoke with, required me to kill some of the others, before they would concider helping me out.
Ymlisai: I'm not allowed to deal any damage to anything, so I choosed to return to Rubi-Ka and help those who is still affected by the conflict out.
Sallust: on a side note I believe you might find it of interest to speak to the supercomputer Ergo in Elysium, he would definately prefer to help people
Ymlisai: Oh, I did. He was quite a lively one.
Sallust: what do you think of Omni-Tek involvement in the Shadowlands conflict?
Ymlisai: He seemed to care quite alot about the welfare of.. What was it he called us again? The masters of light and shadows?
Ymlisai: Everyone spoke of Omni-Tek as evil in the Shadowlands. It is a picture I do not recognice though.. People are nice to me, they care for how I am, how I've been, they present gifts, so that I can help out those I'm teached to help.
Ymlisai sighs
Ymlisai: Generally, I find everyone to be nice and good hearted.
Ymlisai: Clan, neutral or Omni-Tek.
Sallust: as I have found you Ymlisai
Sallust bows
Ymlisai smiles
Ymlisai: I'm trying my best to bring friendship where I go.
Ymlisai: I do not care much what side you are on, I do not favor Omni-Tek above Clan or Neutral. It is the way I was taught to be.
Ymlisai: It is the only way of living I know
Sallust: if you feel free to speak, how do you feel about the leadership of Eva Pourais or Mr. Ross in Omni-Tek?
Ymlisai: The conflict tears down on everyone, those who leads the most. It breaks us apart, having to fight all the time.
Ymlisai: Who am I to criticise their way of deciding things? I can only imagine how hard it must be to try keeping us all provided with what we need, while still fighting for what they believe in.
Ymlisai: I'm sure you of the clans feel the same way about your leaders.
Sallust: not exactly, but the clan system of government isn't nearly the same either
Sallust: well do you have any final closing remarks to the readers wanting to get to know you
Ymlisai smiles and nods
Sallust looks curious
Ymlisai: What can I say? Erm.. Hi?
Ymlisai: It's all it takes, hehe
Sallust: well to all those reading I present the soul of Ymlisai, Humanitarian of Omni-Tek Medical Academy

Interviewers notes: I thought Ymlisai one of the great examples of why the Clan cause must be carried out against the spirit of the Omni-Tek corporationa not against its citizens. Ymlisai is a humanitarian of a caliber that would be hard to find among any of the various factions of Rubi-Ka. To my Clan brothers and sisters I note that this is why the Clan struggle is even more a war for enlightenment.
